194/365 Path

by Susan Wilde July. 13, 2019 305 views

These photos were taken along the trail to Bertha Falls in Waterton, Alberta, Canada, 1 1/2 years after the Waterton/Glacier fires. With the tree canopy gone, new life has been growing along the forest floors. The photos with green trees are closer to the base of the trail, close to the town, where the fire didn't reach, thanks to the efforts of the fire fighting teams.

Beautiful photos! Amazing to see how life comes back after the fire.

It was. As sad as a forest fire is, there is a certain beauty in the aftermath.

It looks like a fantastic path for mountain biking! Do you know if that is allowed? Beautiful captures makes me want to go there on my next vacation!

This particular path wouldn't work for mountain biking, but I'm pretty sure between Waterton, Banff and Jasper there would be some wonderful trails.

I hate seeing the distruction of out of control wildfires but the life that springs back after a fire is so beautiful .

I agree, but it's really a natural part of nature.
