Fries Mill Ruins

Tucked away in the Pine Barrens of Southern NJ are the ruins of Fries Mill, an old, abandoned saw mill and grist mill.

To get there, you have to hike a bit along a set of railroad tracks and past the river to a clearing that leads to a path back to the first of the ruins: a chimney.

Back out to the tracks and a little further down the trail and you'll come across this dune buggy, unfortunately not one that'll get you anywhere.

The bulk of the ruins are past the buggy. The remains of a building, some walls, and a small silo remain.

The photos you posted of the structures in the sand pits are not part of Fries Mills ruins, they are abandoned structures from the sand mining operations that created the quarries.
