WELCOME TO THE ZOO. AKA JAIL. AKA AWWA WOMEN HOSTEL :')
I believe people teach you the best of the things. They give you sweet bitter memories which I think should be cherished forever. They say, hostel life is possibly the best time you'll have. Away from parents & siblings..learning do to things all by yourself.
How wonderfully we bloomed..
Hostel was indeed a roller coaster ride. Varied ups and downs, It taught me to be self-reliant. Gave me an idea of freedom. Made me cry, I fell and crawled a hundred times, but also taught me to stand strongly.
It was in January this year, the last semester of graduation when I started to understand what 'anxiety' is..my friends came up with solutions which didn't work because I couldn't convince myself to adopt them..
But you do realize it's only 'you' who can help yourself to come out of it, always remember this isn't a 'permanent thing'.
"Obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it". -Michael Jordan
It is very important to know who your true friends are. They do sometimes help you cope with your anxiety/depression.
Also, identify who aren't. Toxic people will end up making you negative. They'll suck the goodness out of you and affect you both - emotionally and mentally. This will lead to frustration. Maintain distance once you know who they are. Removal of toxic people can be deeply painful, as you may have been close to them at some point and you may deeply care for them but always remember— 'mental health' should always be important to you than anything else.
Hostel indeed gave me a bag full of memories.
Thankful to people who loved me and cared for me - Love you always and forever.
~Cheers to endless gossips, fights, dance & more.
