Arrowtown in Winter

The name itself is already inviting - sounds so classic kind of town. It’s a small town in the Otago Region and just few minutes drive away from Queenstown and it’s another NZMUSTDO.

As we were driving in - noticed immediately how the mountain ranges surrounding the town is covered with Autumn-kind of trees and leaves, mix of orangey to yellowish clusters. Not the full bloom Autumn-kind but still beautiful to the eyes. It is definitely the winter season, but Arrowtown is lookin half half. And that is where I realised… Spring or Autumn or Winter... my favourite season must be Autumn! If there's such thing as fave [lols!]. I felt that confirmation from within during that drive to Arrowtown. This should be extremely beautiful during Autumn and I’d be surely delighted to be back then!

Exploring and walking around the town…phew! This is where history meets: nature, interesting local architectures, lovely small shops, cottages, churches, beautiful and warm people all around, deliciously smelling cafes and restaurants. The special aroma of chocolate from one corner pulled me in and interestingly they are selling Lavender Hot Chocolates, even Ginger Hot Choco! How perfect is a sip of that on a winter season! Must Do must do too! [Excited kid in me kicks in again. ;)]

Those mountains

What surrounds the town.

Poking around shops like this.

Chop Shop

Walking further around.

Bonjour in NZ

Is it Fall or Winter here? ;) Bonjour in NZ!

Turning to a different Alley

Neighbourhoods and leaves and trees like these.

Something Red.

There are three RED catchy stuffs in this small town, guess got a snap of them all. ;)

Something red.

Red is just flashy and the pretty lady walks in perfect timing! Click! Thank you ;)

Local Shops.

The Police station and clinics also look like these. So better read the signage, it might not be a cafe after all - LOLs!

olah

Him saying "Waaaah!" lols!

Patagonia

Ohhh love! Was able to capture the cafe name - Patagonia! Lavender or Ginger Dark Hot Chocolate - tastes phew WOW! Excuse the haze, she's brewing the hot choco and doing some magic stirring hehe ;)

Thank you beautiful Arrowtown, was truly wonderful visiting and poking you!

May I see you again in the Autumn season!

Great story and wonderful photos.
I like this effect in some of your photos, Black and white with just a single color.
Thanks for sharing.
