The temple complex was re-discovered by accident.
It is a unique complex, here the deity faces South which is rare in a temple.
The deity here is Lord Shiva in the form of a “Linga”. The Linga here is constantly bathed by a trickle of water from the mouth of “Nandi”
Nandi is the Bull which is Lord Shiva's Vehicle.

A step well in front of the Santum Sanctorum
The temple was re-discovered after many forgotten years.
It is a prime must visit temple today.

Star attraction for children in the temple - terrapins … whole lot of them!
