The Order of Life

Some things never change. Perhaps it's the birth order theory. Is it true in most families, as it was in mine, that the oldest child will be the nurturer, and continue through life? Do all oldest children feel it is their duty to be the leader, to take care of the younger ones? Probably. Some things never change.

In the course of their lives, will Jocelyn always play the mother?

Will Abigail always be the baby?

Are they just born into these roles?

Without ever questioning?
3 years later, the cycle continues….

Will Abby always be content playing the princess, while Joci is always the queen? Is there an unspoken rule? When I look back on me and my 3 sisters, I was always the leader, we pretty much did what I wanted, without question. I wrote the rules. They were never questioned.

They were so tiny and yet they knew their roll in life. I think Abby will always be the baby and Joci the big sister , the leader and Abby will always be happy with that.
