Nothing goes on forever

As I walk through the trail, I apt to regard everything as a whole, mother nature and misunderstand things will go on forever. But if we carefully look into them through, we can figure out the mother nature is the collective sum of mortal beings. Sometimes that fact makes me sad and I got that feeling in the last hiking.

It used to be

It used to be

I got surprised to see this tree again. I thought I was in the wrong place but after studying the location and the tree again and again I knew something happened to this tree for last 2 years.

This birch tree used to be a super star. It is not a dead tree and has welcomed hundreds of thousand people so far for such a long time.

Alas... it could not survive the fierce wind last winter. I was broken into two pieces...

If I'm to go to different mountains every different time or once in a while to a same location, I don't think I can figure out its change. As I stick to go to a same mountain, through a same trail on and on, now I can feel the change of things with time. Nothing is as it used to be. Everything changes. Change itself is something that does not change...

It's the march of time, Ho. I realized, the older I become, the more I'm aware of this changes, or better the more I care about it. I realized the changes around also when I was younger, but it didn't bother me so much than today. So yes, changes are always around, also inside ourselves. Nice photos btw! smile

Thank you. Just I you told me I've got to be familiar with the change itself. I think I will have more dramatic changes to come. I hope I have courage to cope with them...
