Some macro on dying flowers....

by Jenny Tanghe July. 29, 2019 251 views

This afternoon i tried to make some pics but all my flowers are dying because of the heat :D

So i'm doing with what i have !

Well this one is not dying, she is growing !

I can go very close (i like it)

Sometimes it feels like i entered another world...

I can make pop the colors !

Or do more soft things

going close close close

and make dying flowers looks pretty anyway !

That is some bubble tea sized bokeh! 😲How ever did you get such large bokeh circles?

Well I use the Canon 35mm f/2.8 macro. With it I can get as close as 3 centimeters of the subject. Then for the bookeh.. well my flowers are in big metal pots all grey. So I used something special for my background ( I will try to tell in English but I don't know how to translate well). I used kind of "foam paper" with glitter... It's used by kids or to do some kind of handmade things. I have several of these papers of different colors. With the sun hitting on them it made me that super cool bookeh!

Jenny, that is such a cool trick with the glitter foam.  Thanks for sharing the pictures and the tip.  Wonderful job.

Thank you ! I've been playing arround with these glitter foam since 1 month and it's great. Not expensive, you can reuse them all the time and there is lot of colors to choose from!

You definitely do make dying flowers look pretty. The bokeh in each photo truly makes the flowers stand out. smile
