The King’s Bedchamber

The King’s Bedchamber

Could you imagine living here!? I mean it’s fantastic to see, but what about maintaining it, the up keep must be crazy! I saw in this video https://youtu.be/XxIzMr2Ekpo that it was over 10,000 people that were moving through out the palace for work and luxury. That’s a lot of people in the house! The view straight ahead was the King’s bed chamber.

PBS fact: Versailles, which is capable of holding up to 20,000 people, has 700 rooms, more than 2,000 windows, 1,250 chimneys, and 67 staircases. Not only did the immediate royal family reside there, but the palace also housed many members of the French nobility, as well as all official government offices. -wow

Been there last year, if you read up on its purpose, it was a golden jail. Dirty and very smelly. But it is an impressive place

Pour house-wife to keep it clean... I just imagine Marie-Antoinette going through the 700 rooms with a vacuum cleaner... smile
