The Painter

They say there is always two sides to every story, but i think this guy has even more than that. After taking the boxing pose from this man,as seen on the previous post,he immediately gave thanks and bee lined down the street,no he didn't ask for money but seemed more like a gust of wind that in one instant was in my face and the next was gone. What you can not see from my edit is that his face had been covered in Red,White, and Blue Paint! I imagined that the night before he had been on quite the bender from drugs and alcohol, passed out and his friends cut off all his hair and thought it would be very funny to paint up his face too. After waking up the next day or so,he made a feeble attempt to wipe off the paint with his T-shirt and then staggered down the road were he soon ran into me,he was so relieved to still be breathing that when he saw me with my camera in hand,he just needed a little recognition. My other thoughts I imagined was that he had been ousted from a nearby temple where evil monks visiting from a neighboring country found him in his drunken state on temple grounds and made an example of him and banished him to the outside world!………..Well what ever his story,I couldn't help but feel a bit sorry for him.

Our stories are multi-dimensional...and so is this photo...it's strang how in our sobering world, we run from ourselves...but in our world of exageration, we almost enjoy provoking our inner demons...This photo is quite beautiful in it's raw state...fragile and beautiful.

lovely imaginative stories... both directions of thought. i'm a sucker for such fantasies myself; have them all the time when i look at people here on the streets.

i generally believe there is more insane people all around us than we usually notice. statistically, about every 10th person you encounter is a nutcase. and it's a wonderful fact of life that both we "normal" people don't really look and the nutcases have a lot of skills to cover up their craziness.

hmmm, come to think of it, i know exactly how it is done. MUAHAHAHBLOBLOBLOBLOHUPPAHUPPAHIDDLHIDDLHIDDL.... ;-)
