Samut Songkhram, Bangkok, Thailand
Located right before Mae Klong Railway Station, the Maeklong Railway Market, have a nickname of Talat Rom Hup which means the "umbrella pulldown market". Local prefer to call it "Risky Market" as it's operating along an active railway track with shoppers walking on the track thus dangerous.
It is however one of the largest fresh seafood markets in Thailand and whenever a train approaches, the awnings and shop fronts are moved back from the rails, to be replaced once the train has passed; a cycle of 8 times daily.
The place is now well-visited by tourist who crowd around during the train arrival and departure timing. There's many land tour and local guide to sign with for the visit. But for full thai experience, one can consider taking this state rail from Ban Laem Station.
