year in review 1

So… I realized that I had passed my 1 year anniversary a couple of days ago. I had some idea about actually taking shots from the year and having them bound into a book. I'm afraid that then next few days are going to be a part of that review process.

As far as what I'm going to do after that, I'm a bit unsure. Like Jarvo, I've learned a lot. I notice that even more as a few of my older images as suffered a bit of re-edits as I repost. The structure of a post a day has been very helpful to spur me to actually get out and take pictures. It has also limited me to a certain extent. I don't spend much time thinking about my next shots, rather I have been relying on happenstance. I've enjoyed that. I feel as though it's forced me to find the beauty in the day to day. I guess I need to spend a bit of time considering how I want to expand on that.

My thanks to all of you that have commented, critiqued and supported me. Honestly, when I started I didn't think there would be anyone interested. It was delightful to find such an interesting and friendly community. Thanks again!

It looks like you had a great year, good luck with your 'what next' decision. I think most people cut back a little to ease off the pressure and find it's the people and learning process (which includes seeing other peoples photos) that they have become attached to!

So how did you know it was your one year anniversary? Did you get an E-mail message from Paypal from the Mike's asking for money again? ;)

Seriously though, really nice set. I didn't meet you till a little bit after I joined, but that's cool, I've seen great shot from your frozen tundra over the recent days. Hope you have as much fun in twenty-ten...

Many, many hapy returns. Your posts have been amusing, instructive, beautiful, frank, sometimes beyond my understanding and always absorbing. I look forward to many more, starting with your retrospective book here...

I'm coming up on my 1 year myself although I didn't post every day. I'm glad I met you here and look forward to more of your pictures.
