My friends are there….

Two lovers are there..

The opposite side is China…

This is a rare plant which can only survive at interface of fresh and sea water…

:) Mate - let me try to weigh in (just my way of seeing it.. okay)

#1 -> Would have been better off with a conventional 1/3 frame fill in with either sky or the ground. If you haven't tried making good use of the exposure bracketing - that's another area worth exploring. The feel of sunset is almost there... only almost....
#2 - you could correct the horizon levels. Appear one of the lovers is more interested in doing something elses huh!!
#3 - hmm.. lacks overall composition
#4 - lovely use of 35mm f2. Composition could be slightly better if the leaves in focus were right at the 1/3rd, also means a bit more space above the hills in the background.
#5 - much better composition. Saturated warm glow of light.
#6 -> composition could be better. a greater level of separation/contrast between the subject in focus vs. the background
could be achieved by either taking the same shot at slightly higher or lower depending on how you would like to see it...
#7 - Interesting colours. I like it. Did u burn a bit?
#8 - A decent pns shot. You could even afford not to show this one. You have much better ones in this set. :)

Overall -> I like the set. Interesting that you are able to spend lots of time doing these, also great to see u have buddies learning together... Keep shooting - N'joy.

I LOVE landscape shots like these, and #5 went straight into my faves! The little plants in the foreground looking over the setting sun. And oh, the highlights around the clouds, well THAT takes the cake. =D

Dear friends,
I have been participating in posting and viewing and commenting on Photoblog for nearly half a year....At the previous months, actually, I was not quite feeling good with this blog as I observed so many flattering remarks over the blog... But, in these days, I do notice some changes here as many of you start offering some constructive / adverse comment ... To me, this is what I am looking for.... as I am still a learner of photography.... Please continue with this trend and I am ready to receive more and more critique from any of you... Just direct me the right way and let me know what is your favorable taste... I will seriously take into account of all of your comments before I press the shutter botton!
I am really grateful for all of your constructive critique here ! Keep on offering . everybody...Not just on my blog ! You have started making a change here ! :)

These photos show your talent in composition, Thomas. Everything is beautifully captured and the beauty of the moment clearly and nicely projected! Just one thing, I agree with comment above - No. 2 is powerful, the skies and colours - the horizon....

Heaps of compliments, Thomas. Well done!

This shows the power of the d300, great in capturing contrast. I tried a sunset this week, the sun was one big blur... Here it looks really great, very nice set. Esp like #3, perhaps level the horizon in 2 a bit...

Amazing shots! Especially #5. The way the sun comes out of the clouds and the way you put that in the corner as the point of interest, nice job.
