Spotted Sandpiper posing on the deck for Tom
The Violet-Green Swallow also seems to be posing for a photo…I think Tom caught it's best side!
Western Grebes showing off their courtship ritual at Eagle Lake
Western Scrub Jay
Black-Necked Stilts…one of my favorite Eagle Lake birds!
American White Pelican flying over our bay at Eagle Lake….I think we got this shot from the kayak.

Grandma's least favorite bird….the Brown Headed Cowbird. They are gluttons when it comes to bird seed….they don't leave any for the other birds.
I know I said the Stilt was my favorite bird up at the lake….but the California Quail is really my favorite!
Tom got these Caspian Tern's at the Thermalito Afterbay….but they're also seen up in the mountains.
House Wren building it's nest right in front of our deck.
KilldeerWe have enjoyed viewing all of these birds up at Eagle Lake with Grandma Naoma over the years. Grandma lives in Boise now, but we thought we'd bring a little bit of her hometown area to her on her 97th birthday. Happy Birthday Naoma!
