My submission for 52frames.com week 5 - Neglected. Nikon D3100

I give a lot of credit to all those doing 365 day challenges. For me, 1 photo a week is enough. This week, the theme is "Neglected" with bonus points for HDR, so this is my submission.

I pass this place quite often. I often wonder who lived there, for how long and where are they now?

I shot this place months ago when I had rented a Nikon D7500. I liked how that shot came out. Bracketing on that thing is a breeze. So much so, I was able to stand in the middle of the road early one morning and got just the framing that I wanted in about 2 seconds.

For the shot above, I got there later than I wanted, there was already too much traffic to do the middle of the road thing again, so I used a wide angle lens this time and stood closer. I want to go back and shoot this again with my 18-105 lens from the middle of the road again.

My prior effort on this subject is below:

I prefer the shot from the D7500, but I also had softer lighting as the sun was not quite as strong that morning.

I prefer the second shot, Adam...softer light and tighter cropping give it a more intimate feeling.

Thanks Joe.  Now I really need to get up early and shoot it again to see if I can at least match it.
