Grandpa's Garden of Eden

My late maternal grandfather was a man with green fingers. He maintained a garden that can only be described as “neighbour's envy and owner's pride” to do it justice. Long stretched the hours spent in planning and planting a variety of fruit trees and flowering plants. The ‘tasty memories’ of all the juicy mangoes, bananas, papayas, guavas, custard apples, pineapples, jackfruits, water apples and sapotas that we grandkids had still tingle my tastebuds, not to mention Grandma's spicy pickles made from lime, gooseberries or mangoes, fresh from Grandpa's ‘Garden of Eden’.

Though my dear Grandpa's no longer with us & his fruit trees have considerably declined, his memories are still ‘green’. Presenting a floral display from his garden….
