#80/365: As I said earlier, I like making sock monkeys and have lost count of the number I've made (somewhere around 75?). I made my first monkey after seeing a pattern at a craft store and thinking it might be fun to make. Shortly afterwards, a cubicle neighbour was having a bad day so I anonymously left her a monkey along with a letter telling how sock monkeys relationship with humans evolved from primitive times through to today and introducing the particular monkey to her. Little did I know the sensation I was making - the monkey was a hit and there was wild speculation where it came from. So I kept making more and more.
This particular monkey isn't actually one of mine - a co-worked stopped by to say how her grand-daughter had visited the office and seen one of my creations and wanted one of her own, so the two of them had worked together to build this fellow. The co-worker was just commenting that she didn't know how I had ever managed to make so many because it had taken the two of them 4 hours together and he still needed some more work to get finished off.
He's a little rough, but I still like his personality…. ツ
