陽台的桑葚 (Mulberry) 果子一顆顆轉紅了,現在正是拍(或錄)鳥的好機會,或許對綠繡眼的小嘴而言桑葚有點大,刁不住;但對白頭翁而言絕對是最棒的點心,一定是一口吞。怎麼知道拍鳥的相機鏡頭要朝哪?焦距要調多深?當然得早起勘查地形,澆花前就看清楚有幾顆果子紅透了?在哪裡?要從哪個角度拍光線比較好?會不會被樹枝或樹葉擋住?如不先做足功課,等鳥鳥大駕光臨時,我一定會手忙腳亂,無法拍出最棒的畫面。

孤挺花(Amaryllis)也開花了,一整年就這時候開兩朵,又大又紅,是我陽台不可多得的寶貝,拿來陪襯綠繡眼最好了,紅花襯出綠鳥,畫面才會漂亮。最好是澆花時順便用花灑噴點水滴在花上,愛乾淨的綠繡眼能逃得過我幫他們放的洗澡水的陷阱嗎?哈哈,我的心機會不會太重了?

一切準備就緒,人閃回屋內,隔著落地窗,守株待「鳥」…。

等了一陣子,一對白頭翁(Pycnonotus sinensis)果然來了,是阿肥和她的男朋友,停在洋紫荊(Bauhinia purpurea)往外垂的枝條上。她安安靜靜的休息著,因為她的左腳受過傷,失去爪子不能握,因此不太能立著站,因此整個肚子貼放在洋紫荊的枝條上;他則開始唱歌,心情好像不錯,是用餐前的例行公事嗎?就這樣幾分鐘過去了,沒有鳥想到要吃果子,然後他們飛走了,獨留空拿相機的我。

再隔一會兒,換來兩隻綠繡眼(Zosterops japonicus),飛到落地窗前,在馬拉巴栗(Pachira aquatica)的樹枝間跳來跳去,離我超近的。跳了一會兒唱歌飛走了,完全無視我為他們準備的孤挺花浴,獨留空拿相機的我。

似乎讓人有點失落,正猶豫要不要放棄我的作戰計畫。

突然來了一隻台灣紋白蝶(Pieris canidia),翩呀翩呀,最後停在桑樹(Mulberry)的葉子上。我趕快拿起相機猛按快門,也管不了手上的相機裝的是拍鳥用的伸縮鏡,不是平時近拍昆蟲習慣用的餅乾鏡。牠又翩呀翩地飛到印度紫檀(Pterocarpus indicus)初冒的嫩枝枒上停著,有點高也有點遠,這時伸縮鏡派上用場了。再翩呀翩地飛到桑樹的另一片葉子上,後面不遠的地方正好有一顆熟紅的桑果,拍起來畫面豐富多了。

陽台觀察就是這樣有趣,什麼都說不準。你可以耍點心機讓鳥愛來,因而滿載而歸,但也可能無功而返;別灰心,或許有意料之外的收穫可以等等看。唯一確定的是,你永遠不會知道今天會看到誰。

How do you water all these plants? Is there a pathway among the pots?
