Tsai also urged China to abandon threats of force against Taiwan and said all countries should consider Taiwan "a partner, not an issue."

I don't know what to expect for the outcome of all this, but I try to think positive. It is encouraging anytime people unite to stand up against intimidation. smile

I am really happy about Dr. Tsai wins second presidential term in Taiwan.  Also I very agree her victory speech.
I thank many international friends for their support in maintaining our free and democratic life, including the memo left by U.S. President Reagan in 1982.
According to the memo, the U.S. government sold weapons to Taiwan, maintaining the military balance between Taiwan and China, thereby reducing the risk of war.pray

How interesting – I was not aware of this. I remember President Reagan, but when he was in office I was too young to understand most things that happened. It's a time in history I am curious about.
