Health for All: Taiwan can Help, and Taiwan is helping.

“Over the past months, we have seen countless acts of bravery and sacrifice from medical workers around the world. It is our duty as global citizens to give them our full support,” she said, speaking in English. “在過去的幾個月中,我們看到世界各地的醫務人員無數的英勇和犧牲行為。 她用英語說:“作為全球公民,我們有責任給予他們全力支持。” (April 1, 2020) Taiwan to spend $35 billion fighting virus, to donate 10 million masks (Reuters)

I hope all people will be healthy and safe under the threat of Wuhan's coronavirus outbreak.

Appreciate this post and so thankful all medical workers too. I know from friends and family members who work as nurses that they are feeling the stress of the crisis much more than we who are safe at home can imagine. Hope you are staying well, my friend! I have been very busy but trying to catch up on posts here and there when I can.

Certain Tsao, we must thank the health workers for their work, taking the risk on the front line. Regards and take care.

We also many thank US and other international friends helping us, e.g. the enterovirus 71 outbreak in Taiwan in 1998 (78 children deaths), the great earthquake of September 21 in 1999 (2,415 deaths) and SARS in 2003 (346 confirmed cases and 73 deaths, including young doctors and nurses), etc. Taiwan received much from the global partnerships. Thanks!grinning
By contrast, China always interferes with international rescues for Taiwan whenever.angry This time, all Taiwanese look the new virus very seriously (and nervously) since the beginning, especially we known this one coming from China again, likes SARS.

My daughter is an intensivist at one of the hospitals in Florida, so you know, I pray that she gets to have a mask at her disposal at all times .

We all respect medical staffs (and theirs wonderful Mama / Papa), especially who work in ER or ICU in this epidemic period. Is she the girl started piano lessons at the age of 3 and quit at 15? musical keyboard Maybe she was too busy in medical classes. Anyway, I hope all you are healthy and safe.

Yes, she is the same girl and you are not too far from truth in your comment. It was about that time that she showed extreme interest in "helping" people.

Thank you, Hope you stay healthy and safe as well smile
