The balcony observer's 241th report- Paper Mulberry (Broussonetia papyrifera)- Harvesting 構樹收成

by Tsao T-F June. 02, 2020 236 views

With both male and female plants on my balcony, paper mulberry (Broussonetia papyrifera) succeeded in flowering, pollinating, and fruiting in the last year. Fortunately, the harvest was achieved in this year also and was even better than that in the last year.

The orange-red fruits are sweet and juicy. They are the favorite desserts of little aviators such as Light-vented Bulbuls (Pycnonotus sinensis) and Japanese white-eyes (Zosterops japonicus). Once they are found out, they will be eaten entirely soon.

Thank you for the link Tsao. I was able to see it and was surprised because according to the map they grow around here as well. I am going to have to keep my eyes open for them.😉
