The balcony observer's 248th report- Paper Mulberry (Broussonetia papyrifera)- Slimy

by Tsao T-F June. 25, 2020 280 views

The ripe fruits of Paper Mulberry (Broussonetia papyrifera) are soft and juicy, and they are not easy to preserve after gathering. So it is not easy to see them on the market. If you want to eat these fruits, you need to find wild trees in the countryside, or simply plant them in your own garden. Once you decide to plant, you need at least two trees, including one male and one female, to pollinate. Because Paper Mulberry trees are dioecious plants.

Then a light-vented bulbul (Pycnonotus sinensis) called A-Shou found the ripe fruit of Paper Mulberry (Broussonetia papyrifera) on my balcony in Taichung, Taiwan.

A-Shou bent down and bit again.
