【Harry's wand & fans, Japanese white-eye (Zosterops japonicus) 3/10 哈利的魔杖與粉絲-綠繡眼】
The Japanese white-eye (Zosterops japonicus) is one of the little pilots who come to my balcony most often. The same as the Light-vented bulbul (Pycnonotus sinensis) is: They are all greedy for little fruits on my balcony; The difference from the Light-vented bulbul is: the Japanese white-eye also likes to take a bath.
They usually bend down and use their bodies to roll the water droplets on the leaves. Sometimes the drops of water on the leaves are left by the rain, and sometimes I spray them on purpose when I water.
So, what to do after taking a shower? Of course, they will stop on branches to dry their bodies and tidy their feathers!
Japanese white-eye (Zosterops japonicus)
Japanese white-eye (Zosterops japonicus) is a small bird commonly found in Taiwan cities. The plumage is mainly yellow-green, with white circles around the eyes. In Taiwan, we call them "tshinn-thi-a" (青笛仔, meaning "green-colored whistle", or 青啼仔, meaning "green squall", or 青弟仔, meaning "green little brother", or 青豬仔, meaning "green piglet" in Taiwanese.
The last wording is the cutest and my favorite.
