This is ‘A Banketletter’: dough, filled with almondpaste, shaped in the letter M. It's very sweet and we get it at work every year for Sinterklaas.

The Bakery has a poem of Constantijn Huygens, a 16th century Dutch poet, on its paper.

LOL! I don't fid it that tasty to be honest. It's way too sweet and after just a little bite I've had more than enough.

I'm sure it's tasty and all that, and no offense Tulpje, but that looks like something my dog leaves for me in the yard.

It's like marsepain... but more almonds. They are shaped in M or S normally.

Mmm, is it marzipan inside? A friend's brother came to visit from Holland and brought a mountain of marzipan with him - we couldn't stop snacking.
I want to try that Sinterklaas treat!!
