No wonder they put the entire town on the UNESCO list. It's so beautiful we wandered around with our mouths hanging open, the entire day.

When I saw pictures of the Plaza Mayor of Trinidad in guide books I thought: ‘now what’s so special about that?' And then I saw it for real and it's amazing. It's so cute and sweet, a little park with palm trees surrounded by coloured colonial houses. We were in awe.

Kids watching a show giving by their class mates at the Museo Histórico Municipal, a mansion that belonged to the Borrell family in the early 1800's. Great house, nice exhibition and great view from the tower (see picture above).

Trinidad is full of art galleries and whilst strolling through one, we stumbled upon one of the artists.

When we strolled up the hill to the destroyed military hospital of Ermita de Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria de la Popa we came across this guy! Sweet donkey. It belonged to a bare-feet boy who lives in the houses at the foot of the hill.

Our Casa Particular ‘Hostal Lili’ was probably the best Casa we stayed at, we had our own little cabin in this womans back garden. She made us great breakfasts with loads of fruit, smoothies, coffee, bread and honey, eggs and grilled cheese sandwiches. For dinner she made soup, rice, fries, fish, shrimps, salads, ice cream and flan. Go Lili!!

It's more like a 'whoa, you're tall white and red' look IMHO ;-)
