Les tournesols

by Tulpje August. 17, 2009 1705 views

Our neighbours bought us these great sunflowers because we looked after their plants and got their mail when they were on holidays. I loooove sunflowers, but I like the French word for them ‘tournesol’ (turns with the sun) even cuter as that is exactly whay they do!!

Our neighbour was nice enough to also buy the vase, very clever as we didn't have such a huge vase to put them in.

I didn't know that was the Fench word, I like it! (And I love the myth of Klytie too, so sad...)

In Italian they're "girasole" which means the same thing.
