Hydrangea quercifolia

I really loved seeing everyone's take on the 2 photo prompt last week, and I learned a lot from all of the conversations that followed. I'm late to the party (did you expect any less from a turtle?), but here's an image I thought might work well for the topic. We pass these oakleaf hydrangeas every day when we walk our dogs, and this time the light was catching them just right.

They are both very nice, but like Antonio I prefer the coloured one (don't ask me why, I couldn't say smile )

Thanks! The feeling of the second one strikes me as a little more bleak, like the flowers are just dead.

Thank you! After reading everyone's posts and comments, it gave me some ideas of what kind of image might be good for monochrome.
