Redbud

Redbuds are one of the first trees to bloom here in spring, usually in the first part of February. They're pretty well faded now, but I'm behind on photos, so this is from a few weeks ago, right when they first opened.

Thank you so much! I love the pink color of the blossoms, such a welcome sign at the end of winter.

I'm still scraping!
We are getting 9 more inches this weekend. I just hope it's the kind I can take macro pictures of!
Keep sharing spring's beauty, it makes me see past the mounds of snow!

Thank you, Laurie! Sorry, I must have missed this last week. I've been way behind on everything lately. Hope spring will come for you soon!

That's ok, understandable! Life happens to all of us!smile
It is melting (and ugly)
but the gorgeous March sunsets are here, so that's sign of spring enough for now!

Oh man, I remember how mud season would just drag on in Colorado. It felt like it would never end (and it didn't, until June usually). Glad you are enjoying the sunsets though!

Thank you, Laurie! Glad to be exchanging nature’s joys with you! It’s nice to be able to appreciate the beauty of snow and not have to shovel and scrape my car or freeze my fingers off to enjoy it. smile

Strange thing: I don't like pink at all when it's man made, but pink flowers I always find beautiful smile

I’m the same way. smile Just this week I was irked that the only cat bed left at the store was pink. But Mother Nature knows how to do it right!

In French there's a saying: "Chaque chose a sa place et une place à chaque chose". It means "Every thing has its place and there's a place for everything." Pink is probably at its best place in nature smile
