To say that work has been irritating lately would be a huge understatement. It's starting to wear on me, and today I am exhausted and feel like I need something colorful and uplifting. So these are some photos from a sunflower farm I visited last weekend. Oddly enough, we used to live near it and drive past it on our daily commute, but I never knew it had sunflowers because they only bloom for a week and a half. The owners also alternate years for planting them.

I processed a bunch of the photos from this trip in black and white too, and I really liked how some of them turned out. But today is about sun and color, so I'll save those for another post.
Beautiful shots. I did not realize that sunflowers had such a short bloom time thank you for teaching me that. Hope work smooths out for you.
Thank you! I didn't realize it either, and I'm really glad I stumbled across the notice about the farm opening when I did. They had to close early this year (after just one week). Between the rain and mud and record crowds on the weekend, the flowers were trampled and picked over pretty fast.
