I see I duplicated the "Oh wow" from Jolien.  Too funny. I guess you don't mind two oh wows in one day. lol

Thank you so much! I was so happy with how they turned out. Usually squirrels only let you get so close before they take off running, but this one was so sweet. smile

Just lovely! Clarity of subject, warm earth tones enhanced by a soft winter sun! All the right elements. First Place!

Thank you so much! I love how the sun brings out the orange and red tones in the winter here. smile  All the pinestraw and fallen leaves make the woods really pretty in winter.

Nice set I love #5 and #2 looks like he/she is giving you the stair down or getting ready to attack. We have a running joke of sorts in the house about squirrels and the movie Up started it.  When I get distracted it is always a squirrel that causes it so my wife or daughter will go Squirrel?

Thank you! I'm pretty sure #2 is when it first realized I was there. I expected it to take off right after that, but I think it liked that little stump. I love the expression Squirrel for distractions, so fitting!

Thank you! Squirrels always cheer me up, even though they are an everyday occurrence. There is something so playful and mischievous about them. smile

I love these animals, I have fed them myself and they have eaten out of my hand. It is unbelievable how trusting they can be. The most beautiful thing about this is how the squirrel sits on this broken tree trunk.

Thank you! It was so cute how it just perched there. It seemed quite comfortable! smile They are little characters, indeed. I have never fed one by hand, but I do leave seeds out for them in my yard.

Your wild animal series are excellent as always. I sure you have paid attention to them for a lot of time before.

Thank you, my friend! We have lots of squirrels here so I get a lot of practice taking their photos. Usually they are quick to run away, so this was a nice surprise!

Okay ... how much did you pay these animals ? smile

laughing Nothing, and what’s even stranger is that this squirrel wasn’t eating anything to begin with. That’s usually the best time to catch their photo, when they are preoccupied with snacks. smile

Wow, first the mockingbird and now this squirrel. These are incredible shots. You must know how to cast a magic spell over these little creatures to make them pose for you so nicely. ūüėÉ
