bat unhappy with a camera in his face

i enjoy watching the bats at twilight.. but rarely do i get to see one close up.. this little guy was showing his displeasure at me being right up in his face..

bat keeping his eye on me

he's still keeping his eye on me..

bat in a tree

bat in a tree

after he went missing, i thought no more about him.. this morning i find what i think is another bat, in a different spot.. but upon comparing yesterdays photos to today, it's the same bat.. so i tried to make him more comfortable by putting him in a tree..

How cute is this little fellow! I'm one of this few people (at my age!), who can actually hear them. When I work late at night sitting by the open window, the bats are flying nearby saving my skin from mosquito bites.
Perfect pictures - especially the closup #1. But I like also the bored expression in its face in #3.

Jeez, Sherry, look at the teeth on that guy!
I know bats eat mosquitoes so they are the good guys, but they still give me the creeps grinning

It’s great you had the chance to get a close-up. I wonder if he may be injured or something though.

it did appear to have a sore spot on the back of his neck.. of all the bat predators i read about, we have them all here in our woods..
