[my lap]

[my lap]

i do have a kitchen table, i know because i've eaten at it 3 times.. 3 times in 3 years.. hmmph.. i'm just all about the comfort, so i eat on my lap.. read on my lap.. do my writing on my lap.. write cheques on my lap.. so my lap is my table..

ah, it's dark out now & i can't even blame this weak attempt on a busy day.. nope, just a lazy one.. but i am sitting here watching the Yankees spring training game and i plucked one of my favourite poetry books off my shelf.. Richard Brautigan - Rommel Drives Deep Into Egypt.. the pages are yellow and brittle.. it's as old as the fella, sitting here beside me.. glad he isn't yellow and flaking apart at the edges..

smile - good night ya'll

I like your playfulness!  We rarely use the table as it seems we all eat at different times.

As long as it serves as a table, it is a table smile The adventures of a Wehrmacht general in the African desert is by the way a strange title for an American book of poetry smile

I love it! We rarely use our kitchen table either. Sometimes it seems ridiculous to even have one! smile And I don't know Richard Brautigan, so now I'm going to look him up!

richard brautigan is really, by far, my favourite poet.. he's a little like bukowski, but not as crude.. i love short poems that skip the frilly sugar coating..
