[six acres woods facing the road]

when spring happens, our cabin gets closed in by the lush green of the six acres woods filling in.. no longer can i see the road from the house and the road din gets absorbed by the greenery

[for this soft yet vibrant effect, i go to the ribbet site and use the freebie filters.. this is the Orton-ish effect, i find it so pretty for nature shots.. for larger panned out areas, i don't need the detail..]

Beautiful, and a great idea for the topic! I didn't realize how dense the trees are in East Coast forests until I lived in Colorado. Walking through the woods there, there is so much open space between all the tree trunks. But now that I'm back here, I love how winter reveals all these magical details that have been hiding in the forest behind all the leaves the rest of the year. smile

Not sure I would like to be closed in by all the trees - I like wide open views -  but wouldn't it be boring if we all liked the same things?
