2/1/18 - February - Violets

by Lisa Britton January. 31, 2018 293 views

Violets are the flower for the month of February. Violets stand for faithfulness, loyalty and watchfulness. They can range in color from pale lavender to deep violet.

Violets are the State flower for Illinois. Napoleon declared the violet his signature flower and covered his wife Josephine's grave with them when she died.

Oh, we are in interesting company, because violets, which we love very much, are growing like weed n our garden - but not until March.
