Sorry for the radio silence, it's been quite busy on this side of the world. Running a shop in Galle Fort requires some effort of course. And having a friend over from the Netherlands makes you go offline for a while to enjoy your time together as good as possible. We travelled the country for 5 days, last time I saw the Hill Country of Sri Lanka was 5 years ago. It was good to be back, if I wasn't in love with the ocean, I would consider living in the Hill Country. I think it is the most beautiful part of Sri Lanka. The train ride is one of the most beautiful things to do. Apart from all the tourists with you in the train, you feel like you're in a movie. Sitting in the door, putting your legs outside (but not when going through a tunnel!) and feel a breeze going through your hair. It is nice to connect with the locals. And what surprised me the most, is that when you have a friend over who visits Sri for the first time, everything is fresh and new. Which made me look with new and fresh eyes to this island. I forgot that I fell for Sri because the people are so friendly and caring here. So, this was my commercial chat for you to visit Sri next year. And if you do, come say hi to us in Parawastreet in Galle Fort, we are named Luna!
