BTS with the bride

Probably not the right time to post about a wedding in the midst of all these year-end posts, but it happens to be the peak of wedding season here and I got to closely observe all that went on behind the scenes of my best friend's wedding. What we perceive as guests is VASTLY different from what the participants go through, with all the attention focused on them.

I present below what I felt my friend must have experienced through all the hubbub...

...she must have felt beautiful; the attire brought on an attitude of grace, confidence and cheerfulness

...she must have also been tired between the rituals & constant attention of elders; although it doesn't show here and she looks resplendent to me!!

Although her excitement was more palpable, she must have been quite nervous too..

With the amalgamation of many emotions, what showed outwards was a picture perfect wedding.

Disclaimer : This is a commentary based on my observances. I am a sceptic; I don't grasp the extravagances and the will to enter into arranged marriages very well. But that is not the only point of this post. It is to celebrate my friend, her new adventure and the joy of being happy in her happiness!
