Curves and colors is what I saw this morning when I decided to take this shot

Sadly... the background was marred with clashing objects and colors... so you'll have to imagine the latter.

After last night's dinner, I could not find a way to stay asleep past 4:30am. As I stated... Mexican food for dinner is not always a good choice!

Time was put to good use though... Caught up with some personal e-mail... did some stretching and yoga to check my current limitations, since I have not exercised for the past 5 weeks. And had a chance to relax and bask in the sounds as dawn brings life to our surroundings.

After a while, the sounds of our smart phones' alarms came alive, which meant it was time to get outside for a brisk morning walk.

Even during these times, I carry the camera with me... you never know! We've spotted deer, armadillos, hares and other animals in the area, so I rather have it with me.

But today it was not an animal that caught my eye, but a rather striking expression of summer heat in Texas:

This shot is of a cactus-family specimen (I suck at botany!), which has usually long, perky stems(?), yet, I guess, under this heat, they fall victim to their own weight and fold over themselves, although a very gentle pace.

Hopefully you're able to enjoy your summer!

Cheers!
