Impressions last a while
Today made its way like an old mummy out to get me. I was still a bit tired, between the late night, rising heat and house chores. So the 3-hour intro workshop about product photography, was a quick vacation out of my mind. I did not learn much I had not learned from reading articles or videos on YouTube. Still, the act of just sharing a space with like-minded people and seeing the instructor build a shot from scratch, helped add some value to this day.
All throughout the workshop some of the videos and tips/tricks I had learned and wanted to practice kept coming back into mind... I will try some of them out as soon as I get some cheap lights to test with!
I won't write much tonight... just know that by the end of the day I still had no shot to post. I took one in the kitchen... of the more conceptual kind, and then this other one, in my office.
Deciding, or perhaps, experimenting and creating your own style, is a journey. I hope I can take more risks, and play some more to start defining all those things I like to shoot, and like to look at.
