Just another Monday... business as usual!

Carrying your camera around, even if it's just your smartphone, can change your life.

Of late I've been interested in looking at more art, not only photographs but sculptures, paintings, video, architecture and anything that's visual. I've started to enjoy satisfying the hunger of my creative self. And to challenge it, I'll spend more time in 'mundane' spots to spice it up a notch.

Today's shot was taken at a parking lot while High Command was shopping at the supermarket. I had volunteered to drive her as I wanted to get some fresh air and could use the change of scenery.

Well, that was a good call

We had a wonderful thunderstorm last night, that lasted well through this morning. By late afternoon, you could still find some puddles and the air was not as choking as the past week. The sun had been blocked by clouds most of the day, so spending some time outdoors did not sound like folly.

The reason why I chose this shot out of the series is the balance in the frame: between dark and light, materials (leaves, paper, metal) and the colors. The Velvia film simulation brings a bit more 'pop' to the effect and crushes highlights and shadows to add contrast.

All's well that ends well

May you have a wonderful week ahead of tyou! Full of fantastic moments!

Like the reflection and the sharpness. Creativity rules.

Thought I'd nail this one at f 11 to get most of the frame in focus. Since it was still bright enough outside to keep ISO low as well.
Hope you're having an amazing time in Paris Peter!
