Kinks on leaves

There was definitely something I was not able to capture with this photo. I think the arrangement of the leaves, or perhaps the sheer volume... something that escaped my eye.

But still I decided to post this. I played with it and ran it through a couple of black and white filters. And still, when I look at it my eye feels sort of lost, jumping from one place to another...

Perhaps that's what it is...

A certain feeling of falling, that makes my eye want to skip on from leaf to leaf to avoid slipping down the photo. As if it was a waterfall and you're swimming against the current to avoid the drop.

Those small kinks on leaves are the only little details that detract my attention for a bit before making the next jump.

Cheers,
