Lighting woes

So... this day I already had a shot lined up since early morning. Still, the camera stayed at my side throughout the day... you know... just in case.

Well, that 'in case' happened at dinner.

High Command and I decided to try out a new restaurant. 'New' to us, not as in 'recently opened'. We looked on Yelp and agreed that this place fit the bill just fine.

We ordered a couple of dishes, and asked them to bring them out as they were ready. Starving was the key word with our waitress.

They obliged.

The wait was not long, and food began populating our table before long. In the meantime, I took a couple of shots of the chef's table, which I did not like (the photos, not the table). And of some items in our own table... nothing relevant.

But, the place's decor kept on calling... and as this waiter was discussing options with another table, the setting caught my eye.

And click!

ok... click click click!

The framing itself could use some work, but time was not on my side. I would have had to get out of my chair and then I may have lost the shot. Plus, I think the height at which this was taken, gives it a bit more punch.

Anyway... feel free to criticize... it's another good way to learn!

Cheers!

PS. Oh yeah... the food was great!

Looks good, I am not sure if I would have shot in landscape, getting a litlebit more wall around the picture on it. Like the light in the photo.not An easy one. Nice job
