Just fooling around...

I have this ornament that used to belong to my mom. I have no idea where she got it but I always liked it and it has pride of place on my shelves. She must have got it in the 70s. There are no identifying markings.

I took a picture of it in its entirety (in colour and b&w) in front of a favourably hued cushion and then tried snapping facets of it. Unfortunately the more close up the shot, the more obvious are some scuff marks which were not noticeable just looking at it on display. I wasn't able to get rid of the scuffs. I also don't have the tech to make them disappear.

I think #3 & #4 have a little underwater effect. But I did try to clean the whole thing with water and dry it but some droplets remained behind. So that may be it.

It's a beautiful piece. Love the water idea.

This is a nice piece. Looks oriental to me. And yeah, my profile photo is a few years out of date too. I have a lot less hair now, and what's left is more gray than black. But as you said, who cares. 🙂

BTW I got rid of my avatar.  Much as I liked the long silver hair and glasses, the bare tummy was not age-appropriate.  So I replaced it with a obviously not-recent photo. But who cares? Right?
