Nartiang was a destination I've been postponing for quite some time now. I was excited when all of a sudden it became the destination for our much awaited road-trip.
The reason behind deciding on Nartiang as the destination was actually the good condition of the road through which we have to ride in order to reach there.
Situated in the West Jaintia Hills District of Meghalaya, a state in North-Eastern India, Nartiang is popular for the cluster of monoliths erected to mark the reigns of the erstwhile Jaintia Kings.
Nartiang more than its monoliths was special for me because it's people and their affection towards the visitors. I was so glad that none of them objected my turning of lens towards them.
Their warmth and affection that they shower upon their visitors itself would be the reason for remembering Nartiang, and also for visiting it again...
