More of the family dogs. Sorry, but I think they are a riot and have always been a challenge to photograph. Mostly because by getting down to their level, you either have to kneel or lie on the ground. And they see that as a signal to play or for some quality petting time! Plus, their noses are so long that I sometimes have issues with DOF if I want higher shutter speeds.

1. This is Sophie. She was my mom's dog who was later “kidnapped” by my grandparents because they didn't want her to be alone during the day. She passed away this year.

2. Peyton again. This is a little clearer photo of her. Her head is tilted like that because I was making duck sounds and she was trying to figure it out.

3 & 4. This is my sister's other dog, Yogi, with his beloved ball. There are two things he loves - his ball and stealing socks!

These are great! It's always a challenge in my house to get my camera out & ready for a shot without my cat deciding to see what I'm doing! (No go back & be cute!)

:) Sophie (#1) was pretty chubby when she passed away. Yogi has lost a little bit of weight so he's not so big. Peyton is a skinny minnie.

hah! i had a dachshund when i was young. he was not nearly as trim as yours, though. he looked like a little smokey sausage on leetle legs.

i love the eyes and cocked ears in number 2.
