I Started On

The wrong foot. Too many times. Sigh.

Breaking My Own Heart [youtube.com] - Duffy

I heard Duffy while I was sitting at Starbucks a couple of weeks ago and fell in love with her music. And when I heard the song above, I said, “yep, that's me”.

Every time my heart was broken it was because I rushed into something with someone I KNEW was not for me. But I think I so wanted to be loved that I overlooked that it wasn't the same thing for them. I guess, hoping it would change.

I am determined to not make that mistake again!

Lisa I just love this shot. Your affinity for dancing feet just shines through! Here's the way I see it: we are all here to learn lessons from each other, and to teach each other, and ultimately to love each other. You are just getting prepped for the Love of Your Life. Rascal Flatts says it best in Bless the Broken Road
"Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you"

He will find you.

Good idea! If you know something is wrong in the begining... don't do it! ;)

Very beautiful shot in motion.

What an effective image Lisa — so simple but suggesting fragility and vulnerability, as evoked by the text. Great post. Hey, life's full of risks! As they say in the classics 'better to have and lost than never loved at all'— I know it's a platitude but there's a particle of truth in there somewhere.
