I read about rumours of an old house, out in the countryside overlooking a look. It took quite a while to track down the actual location, and as ever google earth came to the rescue.
So here's the thing, I've visited this place maybe annually over the last ten years, I've seen its slow majestic decay, I've seen walls and floors collapse. I've seen gaping dark holes appear from down below. It lives and breathes, it relaxes, it resists the weather and it accepts its long fate, to be lost forever.
It's still there today, I saw it in the distance a few weeks ago, but it can't be long. The roof and two walls are pretty much gone now.
It has a strange beauty.
