I didn't have much time to shoot anything today, so I knew I'd be forced to come up with something quick and easy at home. While I was at work earlier in the day I thought about experimenting with shallow depth of field across the tops of these pen caps. As I was playing around with the setup it turned into more of a product shot. I settled on using an 85 f/1.8 on the Nikon D750, a Yongnuo 560 IV. The BTS is below, a dingy white shirt on the dresser in my bedroom. Corrected in lightroom with gradient filters, exposure only.
Impressive results: at first sight I thought you took the photos with the items in a white box. Good job 👏
