This is Theodore Edward Baer. Ted E. for short. He's a veteran of the Pickle War of 1972 where he bravely survived the attack of the Pickle, but suffered the loss of half his right eye and his entire left ear.

In addition to surviving the war that year, he was suspected of being a spy and was subjected to a full cavity search by the US Secret Service upon arrival at Miami International Airport. His 6 yo companion noted to the security staff that he was not loaded.

He has been so loved for 40 years that he's showing his bald spots. Filled with sawdust, he will stand the test of time.

In front is the effigy made of stoneware, Ted E. II.

Awww! Well-loved companion!
I should take a picture of my sister's 40 year old dog named Floppy. I had no idea it was a dog, as by the time I came along, it was already in rough shape. Well-loved companion!

Yes, Pickles was left home with only Daddy and Stuie to take care of him while Mommy took Freddy, Ted E and me to Florida and Disney World (the year it opened).

Ted is an example to us all. Was The Pickle ever brought to justice?
