Rainy Days & Oskie.

Little old man:)

Little old man:)

"No one appreciates the very special genius of your conversation as the dog does" - Christopher Morley

Oscar's nearly 14 years old now, and his age is definitely showing. Lots of visits to the vet recently (man I wish I'd purchased pet insurance when he was still a pup!) but he's hanging in there. It's hard for me to think of life without him, but I know that day is not far off :(

In the meantime, I spoil him and give him as many cuddles as I can. He's always been such a good natured boy, and, even when he was a puppy and used to misbehave, you couldn't help smiling at his antics.

He is absolutely precious! If I had the money and heart to take in all seniors..that's what I would do.. I just lost my old girl on Friday, she passed in my arms..The seniors are the most amazing guys.

Oh no, I'm so sorry you lost your girl :( How devastating it is to lose these small, furry life companions.

We always say Lily won the Doggie Lottery..she was an older rescue from our local shelter. She was with us 10 years and was 5 or 6 when she came to live with us. Epilepsy, anemia, sensitive stomach, we have battled it all and my solace is the day she left, was the day she was supposed to leave. If she heard my camera bag close, she was on her feet and at my side..she knew a walk was coming. Best of all to your Oscar!

Beautiful dog, and it's always sad when a pet leaves us. I hope he stays as healthy as possible <3

Thank you Nicole - he seems to be hanging in there! Of course now my other one has decided he needs multiple vet visits!

What a lovely portrait of Oscar! We spoiled our dog too - in the end he was nearly blind and very deaf. https://www.photoblog.com/strohschneider-laue/2017/10/10/bolle/
