I spend a lot of time up in the mountains in the winter. Sometimes just roaming with my camera, sometimes with my snowboard, sometimes both.
There's a special kind of light up in the mountains that I just haven't found anywhere else, especially at dawn and dusk, when you get these incredible cotton candy skies and the snow all around you reflects it back at you and everything looks like a gingerbread world from a fairy tale.
This shot was taken at dusk up Silverstar Mountain ski resort in Vernon, BC, Canada and I just adored the colours I was getting. Not to mention the unbelievable silence I was enjoying walking through knee deep fresh powder with not a soul around. The only sound audible was my shutter busily clicking away:)
Can't wait to get back up to this very spot next month!
